Boston Globe Standish Story

by Alejandro Serrano

Planet Subaru, in Hanover, recently donated $43,703.51 to Standish Humane Society in Duxbury. The money came from "Subaru Share the Love," a program through which $250 of every car sale was donated to one of six charities the car buyer chose between Nov. 17, 2016, and Jan. 3, 2017. Two of the charities were local and the other four were national, said Jeff Morrill, the dealership's president. He said the Standish Humane Society will use the money to help people who need help meeting their pet's needs. "We are really proud to be making news for something that really serves the community," he said.
