Passport Demos begin life brand new in our Passport Passport Program courtesy fleet. For several months, they help keep our service customers on the road while demonstrating Subaru's latest technology, safety, and styling. Because Subaru reduces our cost with generous fleet incentives, we then sell them to you at substantial savings.

What are Passport Demos?
Planet Passport Courtesy Vehicles are low-mile Subaru vehicles that previously served in our customer courtesy fleet. They provided transportation for Planet Subaru service customers and were maintained by our own technicians throughout their time in the fleet. After a short period of service, these vehicles become available for purchase as pre-owned Subarus.
Are Passport Demos for sale or available to borrow?
These vehicles are for sale, not part of our active customer loaner fleet. Our current Planet Passport loaner vehicles remain available for service customers, while former courtesy vehicles are offered for purchase as low-mile pre-owned Subarus.
Why are former courtesy vehicles priced lower than new Subarus?
Former Planet Passport courtesy vehicles can offer significant savings because they have already served a short period in our courtesy fleet and qualify for Subaru fleet incentives. Those savings, combined with normal depreciation from being previously titled/used, allow us to offer customers nearly new Subarus at a lower price than comparable new vehicles.
Are these vehicles the same as new Subaru models?
Yes. Passport Demos typically have the same model year, features, technology, and equipment as the new Subaru models they were originally delivered as. The difference is that they have accumulated some miles and may be available at substantial savings.
How many miles do Planet Demos usually have?
Mileage varies by vehicle, but Planet Demos are typically low-mile vehicles, almost always under 10,000 miles. Each vehicle listing shows the current mileage so customers can compare it directly with a new Subaru.
Are Passport Demos well maintained?
Yes. Every one is maintained by Planet Subaru's service department according to Subaru maintenance recommendations. Because these vehicles were part of our own fleet, we have a complete service history and know how they were cared for.
Do these vehicles still have a Subaru factory warranty?
Yes. Passport Demos retain the remaining balance of Subaru's original factory warranty, based on the vehicle's original in-service date and mileage. Customers receive factory-backed warranty protection while enjoying the savings of a pre-owned vehicle.
Can I see the vehicle history?
Yes. Because these vehicles were part of Planet Subaru's own courtesy fleet, we have detailed knowledge of their history, including service performed at our dealership. We provide a Carfax history report.
Why buy a Passport Demo instead of a regular used Subaru?
A Passport Demo offers something many used vehicles cannot: a known history. Instead of wondering how a vehicle was driven or maintained, customers can purchase a low-mile Subaru that was serviced by the dealership that sold it.
Are Planet Demos driven hard?
Planet Passport Courtesy Vehicles are driven by customers who need temporary transportation while their vehicles are being serviced. They are not rental cars, and they receive regular dealership maintenance throughout their time in the fleet.

Savings vary by model, mileage, and market conditions, but Passport Demos are often thousands less than comparable new Subaru models. Each vehicle listing shows the current pricing and available savings.
Do Passport Demos come with any additional benefits?
Yes. Vehicles purchased from Planet Subaru include available Planet Passport benefits and other dealership advantages.
Why does Planet Subaru sell Passport Demos?
Planet Subaru regularly refreshes its courtesy fleet so service customers can continue to have access to newer vehicles. Once these vehicles have completed their time in the fleet, they provide customers an opportunity to purchase a low-mile Subaru with a known history.
Are Passport Demos available only at Planet?
Yes. They are vehicles from Planet Subaru's own fleet and are offered for sale directly through Planet Subaru.
What is the difference between a former courtesy vehicle and a rental car?
A Passport Demo is a dealership-owned vehicle used to assist service customers and demonstrate the benefits of purchasing a new Subaru. They are not traditional rental vehicles. It has been maintained by Planet Subaru and comes with a known dealership service history.
What is the best way to get a nearly new Subaru for less than new?
One option is purchasing a Passport Demo Subaru from Planet. These low-mile Subarus offer many of the same features as new vehicles, retain the remaining Subaru factory warranty, and are available at significant savings because they have already served in our courtesy fleet.
