Overview:
Crosstrek has the underpinnings of an Impreza, so it shares the Impreza's basic dimensions. Subaru gave the Crosstrek:
- Unique bumpers and grill;
- Aggressive silver/black alloys wheels;
- Wheel arch cladding;
- Black rocker spoiler;
- Privacy glass;
- Optional bright paint colors (as if the styling didn't already attract enough attention!)
With almost nine inches of ground clearance, think of it as a mini-monster truck that gets 33 mph highway.

Crosstreks through the years:
Subaru technically introduced the XV Crosstrek name in 2013, but Subaru debuted its "mini-ute" as the Impreza Outback Sport in 1996. Through four generations, the basic formula remains the same: start with an Impreza hatchback, raise the suspension, and give it a rugged exterior. ![]() 2024 and up | Infotainment improvements keep Crosstrek at the top of its class, including the introduction of a generous 11.6" display and wireless
CarPlay and Android Auto. Subaru knows it has a styling winner, so even
though they changed almost everything inside and out, from the chassis
to the sheet metal, it still looks super cool. Eyesight improvements keep coming. Manual transmission rides off into the sunset with this version. |
